Welcome to the NORA Society.

What began in 2020 as a small group of Non-Operating Room Anesthesia (NORA) medical directors has grown into a dynamic and collaborative national community. United by a shared commitment to excellence, we came together with a clear goal: to support one another while advancing the quality and safety of anesthesia care in procedural areas outside the operating room.

As NORA services continue to expand across hospitals and health systems, the need for collaboration, shared learning, and strong leadership in this space has never been greater. The NORA Society provides a space where colleagues can connect, exchange ideas, address common challenges, and work together to shape best practices for this rapidly evolving area of anesthesia.

Most importantly, the NORA Society is a welcoming and inclusive community. Whether you are developing a new NORA program, leading an established service, or seeking collaboration with peers who understand the unique complexities of these areas, you will find colleagues here who are eager to share knowledge and support one another.
